Before you sign,
don't trade that.
Dealers make money on your trade-in. Get our offer first, then decide. It takes a few minutes and costs you nothing.
Example only. Dealers often use this "four-square" sheet to move numbers between boxes.
Why sell to us
The trade-in box is where dealers win
When your trade is part of a new-car deal, it's hard to tell what you're really being paid for it. A separate offer makes the number plain.
Trading in
- —Your car's value is mixed in with price, down payment and monthly payment.
- —Appraised in 20 minutes while you wait to sign.
- —The dealer resells it, so the offer leaves room for their profit.
- —One offer, take it or leave it.
Selling to us
- ✓A local buyer you meet face to face. No call center, no out-of-state app.
- ✓One number, for your car only, with nothing hidden in it.
- ✓We look at it at your home or work, on your schedule.
- ✓Still owe on it? We pay off the lender and you get the difference.
- ✓Take our offer to the dealer and make them match it.
How it works
Three steps, no lot visit
Tell us about it
Year, make, model, mileage and condition. Add the dealer's trade-in number if you have one.
Get a real offer
We call or text you back with a number. If it's not better than the dealer's, we'll tell you.
We pick it up
We meet you, check the car, sign the title and bill of sale, and pay you on the spot.
The honest part
"But I save on sales tax if I trade in"
That's true in Connecticut. Your trade-in value is subtracted before sales tax is charged on the new car. Here's how much that's worth, so you know what our offer has to beat.
Connecticut charges 6.35%, or 7.75% on vehicles over $50,000.
and you're ahead—
Any offer from us above this number puts more money in your pocket than the trade-in, even after the tax break. Confirm your exact tax with the dealer.

Sister business
Car not worth much, or doesn't run?
If it's not a car we'd buy, you still don't have to leave it at the dealer. Wyatt's Junk Cars, run by the same local team, will haul it away for free.
Questions
Before you call
Can I still trade in after getting your offer?
Yes. Many people show our offer to the dealer and ask them to match it. Either way, you know what your car is worth.
I still owe money on my car. Can you buy it?
Yes. We pay your lender directly. If our offer is more than the payoff, you get the difference.
What paperwork do I need?
Your title (or loan information if there's a lien), registration and a photo ID. We bring the Connecticut bill of sale and walk you through signing.
How do I get paid?
You're paid when we pick up the car, once the title is signed over.
Am I dealing with a big company?
No. We're a small, local Connecticut business. The person you text is the person who comes to look at your car and pays you.
What if my car isn't worth buying?
We'll tell you straight. If it's too far gone, our sister business, Wyatt's Junk Cars, will remove it for free.
Where do you buy?
We buy cars across Connecticut and come to your home or workplace.
